RUGGED LAPTOP JOINS BBC's TOP GEAR ON JOURNEY FROM BOLIVIAN JUNGLE TO THE PACIFIC OCEAN
Gary Humphries, a safety and production coordinator for the TV and film industry, the ndura RUGGED® convertible laptop to Bolivia to drive the 1000 mile route from the Bolivian jungle to the coast of Chile with the team from BBC's Top Gear.
This Christmas the BBC Top Gear presenters were seen driving 4 x 4 vehicles across a variety of hazardous obstacles and through some of the most remote and inhospitable terrain on earth. Having damaged laptops in the past, Gary needed a laptop that could survive severe in-vehicle vibration, baking midday sun to extreme cold at night, as well as humid jungle environments and wet river crossings. To discover how the ndura RUGGED® convertible laptop performed under these testing conditions, take a look at the full case study via the link below.
What viewers of this Top Gear Special will not be aware of is that behind the scenes the ndura RUGGED® convertible laptop was experiencing all the conditions that the film crew and presenters were. The laptop was used throughout the trip as both a navigation tool and a means of viewing film footage and photography captured on route. It even went for a swim with JC's Range Rover.
