Based near Oxford, Steatite Blazepoint is a division of Steatite Limited and specialises in ruggedised mobile computers, displays and printers, all based on high quality Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipment. The company also supplies ruggedised and TEMPEST peripherals, as well as purpose built equipment mounting systems, designed to UK, USA and NATO specification for military, government and commercial markets worldwide.

The company supplies blue chip customers in both the military and civil sector, including the UK Ministry of Defence and through partnership, the majority of the UK's train operating companies.

In the defence and aerospace arena, Steatite Blazepoint provides proven battlefield computer hardware. The company is a major supplier to most European major defence primary contractors and NATO.

Steatite Blazepoint boasts an impressive in-house product engineering capability with extensive experience in the areas of design, development and manufacture of rugged computers and peripherals. Its products are controlled by UK export regulations and are also free of US export control regulations (ITAR).

A significant factor in Steatite Blazepoint's success is its understanding of the needs of the end user and the systems integrator by offering a highly flexible approach to developing the right solution. When needed, emissions controls and other protective mechanisms are built in to ensure high levels of security.

Tailored to the user's precise needs and embodying open architecture by design, Steatite Blazepoint packages include ruggedised input devices and all necessary cables, distribution and power connectors, so the hardware can be up and running straight away. In addition to design, development and manufacture, the company provides through life support, training and in-house testing facilities.
