Blazepoint offer a bespoke design and development service to their customers who have requirements for computer peripherals to operate in harsh environments. Blazepoint work with customers in military, commercial and industrial sectors managing projects for the design, development, testing and production of rugged equipment that meets their individual requirements.

With extensive design capability and experience, Blazepoint specialise in modifying IT equipment which both satisfies the ruggedisation requirements and provides an aesthetically pleasing solution. The company re-engineers and re-manufactures commercially available products with enhancements that allow transport and operation in ground mobile, airborne, shipboard and other harsh environments.

MANUFACTURING

Blazepoint have a fully-equipped in-house manufacturing capability which operates in accordance with military standards. Facilities include assembly, test and inspection, configuration management, MRP system and 370sqm of production and workshop area.

Blazepoint provide comprehensive technical publications and integrated logistics support services in accordance with commercial or military format using industry-standard software tools. Change control and configuration management services are maintained for life-cycle documentation maintenance.

TESTING

Blazepoint have always worked to the highest standards and have formulated comprehensive procedures to ensure that these are maintained across the whole spectrum of activity. Everything from materials and products used to the final configured solution is monitored constantly and all systems undergo rigorous quality control testing leaving you, the client, with products and services you can totally rely on.

Blazepoint offer a comprehensive systems engineering and test capability. Blazepoint systems maintain complete software transparency with the associated commercial products. Integration and test plans validate the design and production processes. Final integration and tests are conducted to demonstrate compliance with internal design requirements and customer specifications.

Full environmental qualification testing is also carried out on all products. Blazepoint can validate the environmental integrity of equipment designs through extensive qualification testing. Testing is performed in accordance with Blazepoint or customer-defined requirements.

TEST EQUIPMENT

Blazepoint have impressive in-house test facilities which include the following:

  • Demitron VP85 electromagnetic vibrator
  • TW3000 power amplifier
  • BT50 Bump Test machine
  • Siemens EMC cell 3 metres high * 3 metres wide * 5 metres long
  • DSI9000 automated EMC test system
  • Marconi spectrum analyser
  • Hedinair Temperature Test Cell 50°C to +100°C.
