Business moved its focus to a "rugged" product engineering business,
seeking contracts for the supply of office printers for use in harsh
military and industrial environments.
1997:
Blazepoint win several substantial contracts, largely from UK and
European defence sector including EDS and British Aerospace.
1998:
Having secured private investment, the company begins a major investment
programme to upgrade its project engineering facilities.
1999 (Nov):
Blazepoint acquires Edgetech, a supplier of specialist printers
and Information Support Limited, as computer hardware and peripherals
bench repair business.
2000 (June):
Blazepoint business diversifies to focus on two core markets: -
ruggedised product engineering in the defence sector - engineering
of interactive multimedia kiosks.
2000 (June):
Blazepoint launches the kiosk business.
2000 (Aug):
Roger Wadsworth (Non-Executive Chairman) and Paul Cooper (Managing
Director) appointed as directors of Blazepoint.
2001 (Jul):
Blazepoint lists on AIM raising £500,000 at 4p a share.
2001 (Oct):
Blazepoint conducts private placing fund raising round raising
a further £628,000.
