Blazepoint used The Emergency Services Show 2008 as a platform to launch their new range of rugged mobile computers designed to enhance operational effectiveness and reduce risk in extreme environments. Visitors to our stand were introduced to the new PDA, 13.3” laptop and two tablet PC’s with applications in a diversity of sectors, from first responders through commercial security to field operatives in energy and utilities.
With attendance reportedly up by 30%, Stoneleigh Park was again the venue for this Exhibition and Conference and was declared a success by delegates. With the additional secondary hall, the exhibition boasted over 250 exhibitors, including indoor and outdoor stands and two outdoor demonstration areas. Exhibitors ranged from individual fire, police and ambulance divisions promoting multi agency collaboration, through national procurement agencies to the more usual companies like Blazepoint who supplies its products and services to the first responder market.
David Brown, Director of Emergency Services (MMC) Ltd, organiser of the Emergency Services Show, commented: “This has undoubtedly been our most successful show to date and we have been overwhelmed by the positive response from both exhibitors and visitors. We were still having requests for stand bookings right up until the opening - a reflection of its importance to the industry - but it was the atmosphere at the show that really sealed it. The product and services stands were a hive of activity and the Emergency Response Zone and the new Blue Light Zone proved a great success. We wanted these areas to promote and facilitate networking and, from the feedback we’ve been given, it certainly seems that introductions were made and ideas were being exchanged. As a result, we were not only taking re-bookings for next year at the show, but the requests have been for bigger stands in 2009. “
