Blazepoint, the Rugged Engineering Solutions Company, today announces the launch of a rugged scanner to compliment the existing range of printers and peripheral products within the ndura Rugged range.

Designed to work with the ndura Rugged A4 Printer, launched at DSEi 2005, the new rugged scanner demonstrates Blazepoint’s engineering strengths and highlights a clear understanding of the military environment and its users.

Based on the HP Scanjet G4010, the commercial scanner has been shock-mounted and modified to fit into an aluminium enclosure yet provides instant access to the scanner for ease of maintenance. Designed to withstand hostile environments in mobile or fixed applications, the rugged scanner is fully compatible with any computer. Designed to meet MIL-STD-461E and MIL-STD-810 ENV, the ndura Rugged Scanner offers the durability to survive extreme military conditions.
