CRUCIAL ROLE OF THE PDA
The PDA is changing the way people communicate in diverse ways. In his Final Report of the Review of Policing on 7 February 2008, Sir Ronnie Flanagan said that “One force estimates they have saved 51 minutes per frontline officer through the use of handheld PDAs”.
Blazepoint has just launched the ndura RUGGED® 3.7” PDA, which combines ultra rugged design with versatile communication and data capture. The device, which meets all the harsh environmental requirements of MIL-STD-810F and MIL-STD-461E, is capable of fulfilling a range of critical roles, including downloading information gathered in the field into other systems. The test regime for this highly resilient model includes multiple 5 ft drops.
Features include a lower power consumption processor and a rich I/O port array for application expansion. Overall dimensions are 149 x 96 x 42mm and in its standard form the device weighs 750g. A navigation key and four function keys make for ease of operation.
